Day 1: Eilat, Israel – Aqaba, Jordan
On arrival in the resort town of Eilat, transfer to the port for embarkation from 15:00-16:00 hrs. Spend time relaxing in your comfortable and spacious air-conditioned cabin, on in the public areas of the ship. If you arrive early, explore the town that is famous for its prime diving spots and beautiful beaches. You can also participate in one of Eilat’s most popular tourist activities – camel riding.
We sail for Aqaba in the late afternoon. In the evening, meet the captain, crew and your fellow guests at the Welcome reception.
Day 2: Aqaba, Jordan
Enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast before joining our optional excursion to the beautiful historic ‘Rose City’. The UNESCO World Heritage site of Petra is affectionately identified by the stunning colour of the rock that was used to build it.
The ancient city is one of the modern 7 Wonders of the World and boasts a sprawling archaeological complex of temples, tombs, chambers and catacombs. Walk through the enchanting Siq Canyon, and admire the elaborate 140-ft towering edifice of the Al Kazneh temple that is carved into the side of a mountain.
Day 3: Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt
We offer you a choice of optional excursions in the resort town of Sharm El Sheikh. You can join our full day trip to St Catherine’s Monastery and pilgrimage site, or enjoy a snorkelling adventure in the Red Sea. Officially known as the Sacred Monastery of the God-Trodden Mount Sinai, St Catherine’s is the site of the Old Testament’s story of the Ten Commandments, and features the Church of the Transfiguration and the biblically historic Burning Bush. On the underwater exploration of the diving and snorkeling mecca you can enjoy spectacular views
Day 4: Hurghada, Egypt
Transfer via bus to the majestic ancient city of Luxor, for a sightseeing adventure and an overnight stay in a deluxe hotel. Check in and join our optional private guided tour to the stunning temples of Karnak and Luxor.
Explore the array of decayed temples, chapels and pylons situated within the Karnak Temple Complex, and admire the towering 97-ft tall obelisk and the avenue of sphinxes. Also located on the Nile River’s east bank is Luxor Temple, which is also known as the ‘southern sanctuary’ due to its tranquil ambience.
Day 5: Hurghada, Egypt
Rise and shine early in the morning to join our optional excursion to the iconic Valley of the Kings. The famous archaeological attraction showcases a royal burial site that features 63 tombs. We continue hunting for sacred historic treasure by visiting the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut.
The monumental masterpiece was built in honour of the 18th Dynasty’s only ever female pharaoh. Before we return to Hurghada to board the ship, we have time to visit the impressive Colossi of Memnon, to admire its weathered structure that has defied floods and an earthquake.
Day 6: Suez, Egypt
Enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast and a relaxing day at sea. Catch up on your reading from the comfort of a sun lounger, or simply lie back and top up your tan. In the elegant air-conditioned bar, or the alfresco seating area, you can get to know your fellow guests over a cup of coffee or a chilled drink.
From the deck, there are fabulous ocean views to behold as we sail towards the historic northeastern metropolitan seaport city of Suez, which boasts three harbours and the famous Suez Canal.
Day 7: Suez, Egypt
Join our optional morning excursion to the Coptic Orthodox Monastery of St Anthony. The oldest active monastery in the world dates back to 356 AD, and comprise of a complex that features a self-contained village, gardens, mill, bakery and five churches.
Explore inside the magnificent fortress-like monastery to discover brightly coloured wall paintings of icons and holy knights, and restored woodwork. On our return to the ship, we join the convoy to cross through the sea-level Suez Canal that connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea, in the evening.
Day 8: Port Said, Egypt
Enjoy a free day of leisure at sea, as we sail towards the Egyptian city of Port Said, situated on the northern tip of the historic Suez Canal. Stunning panoramic ocean views are freely available, as you relax on deck with a chilled drink and a good book.
If you want company, join your fellow guests in the public areas of the ship to compare notes about your exciting cruise adventures, as we arrive in Port Said in the evening. Don’t forget to observe the spectacular sunset over the Red Sea after dinner.
Day 9: Port Said, Egypt
Celebrate the final day of your amazing cruise by joining our optional excursion to the iconic capital city of Cairo. Visit one of the most famous historic attractions in the world – the archaeological site of the Giza Necropolis. Many of the Pyramids of Giza are the largest structures ever built, and include the Pyramid of Khufu, which is the only one of 7 Ancient Wonders of the World that is still in existence. Admire the Great Sphinx, and view the extensive collection of ancient treasures on display in the Egyptian Museum.
Day 10: Ashdod, Israel
We arrive in the Israeli port of Ashdod in the morning. Enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast and say goodbye to your new friends. Embarkation is at 11.30hrs. You will be escorted via private transfer to the airport, for your return flight home.
