Your exciting 7-night deluxe cruise adventure begins the moment that your flight arrives in Egypt. You will be escorted via private transfer from the airport to the port of Ain Sokhna (or Suez) for embarkation from 15:00-16:00hrs. Once on board the ship you can relax in your comfortable air-conditioned cabin, or mingle with your fellow guests in the public areas. Alternatively, you can explore the peaceful haven of Ain Sokhna at your own pace. The seaside town is a popular place to escape to if you want to get away from the Cairo crowds.
Day 2: Gubal or El Gouna – Hurghada, Egypt
Enjoy a relaxing morning at sea, catching up with your reading, sunbathing or simply admiring the breathtaking rolling ocean views. Gourmet lunch is served on board. In the afternoon, enjoy a refreshing swim in the turquoise waters of the Red Sea, in Gubal or El Gouna. Snorkelling equipment is available if you want to explore the magnificent marine life in the lagoons and coral reefs. We continue sailing and arrive in Hurghada in the early evening. Enjoy free time exploring the beach resort town that stretches for 40km along the Rea Sea coast.
Day 3: Hurghada, Egypt
Hop aboard the bus for transfer to your luxury hotel in the magnificent ancient city of Luxor. After check in, join our optional private guided tour to the Karnak and Luxor Temples. Our afternoon excursion explores the monumental attractions that are situated on the east bank of the River Nile. Admire the Karnak Temple Complex and its collection of towering columns, huge pillars, and decayed temples and chapels. Marvel at the 97-ft tall obelisk and the avenue of sphinxes. At the Luxor Temple, enjoy a peaceful exploration of the historic ‘southern sanctuary’.
Day 4: Hurghada (for Luxor, Egypt)
Our optional early morning excursion visits Luxor’s west bank to discover the ancient treasures of the Gods, Kings and Pharaohs. Explore the famous archaeological site of the Valley of the Kings and admire the sacred burial site’s 63 royal tombs. We continue to the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, which is the only monument built for a female pharaoh. Admire the impressive twin statues of the Colossi of Memnon that have stood in the Theban Necroplis for over 3,400 years. Depicting Pharaoh Amenhotep III, the weathered statues have withstood floods and an earthquake.
Day 5: Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt
Today, we offer you a choice of optional excursions. You can join our full day trip to the pilgrimage site of St Catherine’s Monastery, or visit the snorkeling mecca of Sharm El Sheikh for an exciting underwater adventure. The oldest active monastery in the world, St Catherine’s Monastery dates back to the 4th century AD, and is officially known as the Sacred Monastery of the God-Trodden Mount Sinai. Visit the imposing Church of the Transfiguration, and the mystical, legendary Burning Bush. On your return to the ship, we set sail for Jordan.
Day 6: Aqaba, Jordan
After arrival in Aqaba and breakfast, join our optional private guided excursion to one of the 7 Wonders of the World. The historic archaeological city of Petra is also known as the Rose City, due to the colour of the rock used in its construction. The magnificent UNESCO World Heritage site features a sprawling complex of chambers, catacombs, tombs and temples that you can explore at your own pace. Enjoy breathtaking views as you walk through the Siq Canyon, and visit the elaborate temple of Al Khazneh to admire its carved façade.
